Assistant Project Manager – JLL (Queensland) Overview Join JLL's Project & Development Services (PDS) team to manage minor and capital works projects across Queensland. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) collaborates with Project Coordinators, overseeing deliverables for 5‑8 projects concurrently. Responsibilities Ensure monthly project deliverables are completed, including delivery plans, status reports, cost reports and meeting agendas. Establish project budget and programme to ensure successful delivery in accordance with client requirements. Chair weekly project meetings and prepare Project Control Group (PCG) reports and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. Conduct value engineering, buildability analysis and review design and documentation to maximise outcomes. Administer contracts for all vendors professionally. Represent client interests from inception to completion. Identify opportunities to incorporate other JLL business lines. Build relationships with existing clients to increase JLL’s profile. Create an environment that motivates team members and fosters collaboration. Maintain positive stakeholder relationships and communicate via actions and example. Collaborate with senior staff to resolve issues. Qualifications Confidence to manage project delivery from inception to closure. Experience in managing cost reporting systems. Understanding of the legal environment within projects (planning, commercial aspects, delivery constraints). Ability to conduct commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants and authorities. Willingness to assist in preparing project proposals and delivering presentations to secure new work opportunities. Detailed understanding of different project delivery methods. Degree in Project or Construction Management or related discipline, and 3 years’ experience, or formal education combined with >8 years experience (3 of which must be related to design, construction or project management).
