The Opportunity: Strategic Ownership As the central point of accountability for the credit function, this pivotal role is responsible for structuring complex deals and owning the credit lifecycle. We want someone who can come in, own the credit function, and grow with us into a Head of Credit capacity. Key Responsibilities Strategic Deal Structuring: Use your commercial acumen to structure complex, commercially sound deals (Bridging, Residual Stock, 2nd Mortgages). Decisive Risk Assessment: Assess "real" risk versus "perceived" risk and have direct access to the Investment Committee for rapid, informed decision-making. Stakeholder Management: Manage and drive relationships with brokers, valuers, and solicitors to ensure deals progress to settlement fast and efficiently . Process Leadership: Help us refine and scale our credit policies and processes as the business grows. About You: The Must-Haves To succeed in this role, you must be a decisive expert ready for autonomy. We have strict requirements for this position to maintain our speed and quality. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with full work rights. Essential Technical Requirements Experience: You MUST have at least 2+ years of recent experience specifically in private lending, non-bank or commercial / corporate bank credit. Note: If your only experience is within a traditional bank or as a broker, this role is not the right fit. Property Expert: Deep technical knowledge of the Australian property market, valuation methodology, and security enforcement processes. Risk Mindset: Proven capability of looking at a deal and immediately understanding the exit strategy and required risk mitigants.
