This is a full-time, on-site role for a Food Technologist located in Carrum Downs, VIC. The Food Technologist will be responsible for product development, formulation improvement, and ensuring production processes meet quality and safety standards. This role involves close collaboration with the R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to deliver consistent, compliant, and innovative food products to market. Key Responsibilities Develop and improve food formulations to enhance product quality, taste, and nutritional value. Support new product development (NPD) from concept to commercialisation. Conduct trials, collect data, and analyse results to optimise production efficiency and consistency. Ensure all products comply with Australian food safety regulations and company quality standards. Collaborate with QA and QC teams to ensure smooth scale‑up and manufacturing transitions. Evaluate raw materials and suppliers to ensure suitability for production. Maintain accurate technical documentation, including formulations, specifications, and test results. Support product shelf‑life studies, sensory evaluation, and ingredient research. Assist in continuous improvement projects related to food quality, safety, and process optimisation. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and Australian food safety standards. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Experience in food formulation, product development, or manufacturing preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Chinese language skills are a plus but not required). Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
