Opportunity Join our Quality & Food Safety team to ensure the microbiological safety and sterility of our UHT products and aseptic packaging systems. In this role, you will lead microbiological validation, investigate sterility issues, and support innovation across products, processes, and equipment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement microbiological validation protocols for UHT processing and aseptic systems Assess thermal resistance of microorganisms to optimise UHT parameters Conduct validation studies, sterility testing, and bioindicator-based assessments Investigate microbial deviations and product spoilage, recommending corrective actions Validate product integrity and shelf-life performance Identify spoilage organisms and support root-cause analysis Partner with R&D on product and packaging innovation Stay current on emerging pathogens and new detection technologies Review UHT time-temperature profiles for compliance Perform routine chemical, analytical, and microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products with a focus on safety and quality What You’ll Bring Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field Experience in a GFSI-certified facility and in microbiology or food safety, ideally within UHT/aseptic processing Strong understanding of UHT systems, aseptic packaging, and thermal validation Proficient in core microbiological lab techniques Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines Flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills Why Join Noumi?
