Role Aim To support the development of great strategy for Bastion’s Communication division - with a focus on earned, social, content and influencer. Working with the Head of Earned Strategy you will champion best practice strategy within our PR & Influencer team as well as contribute to new business opportunities. Length of Experience Minimum three years' experience, ideally coming from a PR or influencer agency role. Supports and drives the development of strong strategic thinking across the agency, working cohesively with the team on new business pitches or client strategy. Partner with agency leads across PR, social, influencer and the wider Bastion Agency to support them in the development of earned-first thinking, supported by insights and trends, across clients and new business Consult on the development of implementation plans with Client Directors/account management that align with the strategy, ensuring this is created in line with the strategy Monitors and stays up to date on the latest trends and industry news in all things social, culture and strategy, making recommendations on how our clients can leverage these trends Has a strong grasp of social content creative and social channels, what works on social (across paid, organic and influencer) to deliver business objectives using each platform, and the nuances between them with the ever‑changing landscape Has experience developing strategies or content for LinkedIn New Business & Commercial Acumen Contributes to the growth of the business division through contributing to new business pitches. In collaboration with the Head of Earned Strategy, implement and evolve our strategic process as part of our strategy offering for our clients and to attract new business Builds and maintains networks within Bastion across other key departments that enable the identification of new business development – keeping an ear to the ground with clients Contributes to the financial performance of the agency by contributing to new business pitches and helping to win work Crafts and writes strategy for new business pitches, developing strategic recommendations across earned, social and influencer that are anchored in insights Briefs team members as required as part of developing the broader activity for new business pitches Presents with confidence in new business pitch environments as part of the pitch team, providing insight and analysis beyond the slides, fielding questions with ease Client Management Provides strategic counsel to clients, ensuring that we are delivering and adding value to their business. Working in tandem with client leads, Head of Earned Strategy and Strategy Leads to dissect client business objectives/goals and make strategic recommendations – with earned at the heart that achieve these goals Maintain positive relationships with key client strategic decision makers, becoming a trusted advisor and collaborator with the client Regularly reviews strategic recommendations and overall performance of plans to craft learnings, identify problems and opportunities, and look for how we can be better servicing each client Team Management Ensures each team member, particularly Client Director level and below, clearly understands the strategic intent of all earned-first work, mentoring client leads and junior team on strategy creation and the thinking behind this.
