SENIOR D&C ESTIMATOR

required to join the AUSPAN team working in our Canning Vale office. This unique opportunity is open for a building professional with D&C experience.About The Role:This role would suit a Senior Estimator with significant experience in Design & Construct Estimating to support growth within the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with management and showcase their ability to work accurately and efficiently. They will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a “CAN DO” attitude and be keen to tackle the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business.The Main Responsibilities Would Include:Lead tender documentation and derive a thorough understanding of the requirements.Prepare first principles cost estimates for tender and submissions in line with Client and AUSPAN’s requirements.Ensure costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structures.Prepare and lead handover from estimating to operations following contract award to ensure effective coordination of budget, schedule, delivery strategy, contractor selections, procurement, assumptions and risk and opportunities identified through tender process.Plan and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines are met.Analyse drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and resource estimates.Design review and costing build-up for Industrial & Commercial projects.Coordination and prioritisation of estimating tasks to support sales team as required.Developing client and supplier relationships and attending meetings.Identifying project specific risks and discuss how those risks could be mitigated with manager, salesperson and project delivery team.Checking project cost for completeness and accuracy.Producing/exporting final PDF proposal documentation and sending to salesperson as per sales process requirements.About You – Skills and ExperienceOur ideal candidate is someone who can bring the following to the role:Minimum 5 years’ experience as an estimatorMinimum 5-7 years experience Estimating “Design & Construct” building projects focusing on industrial/warehouse/workshop projects.Drafting, trade, or engineering type background (preferred but not essential).Ability to develop project specifications and scope of works documents.Reading and interpreting architectural, structural and services design drawings.Practical building and construction knowledgeHands-on approach with a can-do attitude.A consistent, detail oriented working style.A resourceful approach to trouble shooting and problem solvingA positive, respectful attitude and a collaborative teamwork styleStrong, motivated work ethic and an ability to work under pressureWhat we can offerA generous salary package and allowances.Access to our Employee Assistance ProgramPositive workplace cultureAccess to the company wide profit-share bonusAbout Us:AUSPAN Group is a WA family-owned D&C building company, with a successful track record of delivering buildings for agricultural, industrial, commercial & mining clients.
