Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant Employment type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contractor (ABN) Location: VIC, NSW, WA or QLD | Hybrid/Remote with some travel as required About the role Pro ME Career Services, an impact-driven allied health and career services team, is recruiting an experienced Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant to join us. You will work with clients in the Life Insurance sector, delivering specialised, client‑led vocational rehabilitation services that make a real difference. What you'll be doing Deliver vocational counselling and assessments to evaluate functional capacity, skills, strengths and barriers to employment, aligned with current medical capacity. Develop individualised rehabilitation plans and implement evidence‑based interventions. Identify retraining, upskilling and wellness opportunities tailored to client needs. Provide case management and linkage support where applicable. Liaise with employers, healthcare providers and stakeholders to facilitate RTW and reasonable adjustments. Offer ongoing support and monitoring to promote successful job retention. Maintain accurate records and prepare high‑quality reports. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, client‑centred services (remote and face‑to‑face). Services include (not limited to) Vocational counselling, job‑seeking skills development, job placement assistance, work trials, pre‑vocational/work‑readiness programs, upskilling/retraining, and single‑service assessments (e.g., vocational assessments, labour market analysis). What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or related allied‑health discipline (required). Current registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body (e.g., ASORC, AASW) (required). Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant or similar (required). Life Insurance sector experience/knowledge (preferred). Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and report‑writing skills. Excellent problem‑solving, organisation and time‑management. Empathetic, client‑focused approach with commitment to high‑quality, evidence‑based practice. Eligible to work in Australia with unrestricted working rights. Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance ($10M minimum ). Current Police Check (or willing to obtain). Employee roles Police Check required (or willing to obtain).
