Permitting & Isolation Supervisor at PLS Port Hedland, Western Australia. The role reports to the Process Superintendent and oversees isolation practices across the Pilgangoora Operation. The Opportunity Responsible for standardising isolation procedures, planning maintenance shut-downs and ensuring safe isolation of all equipment. Key Responsibilities Manage PTW systems in line with Pilbara Minerals policies. Audit permit to work systems, identify gaps and apply best practices. Standardise PTW processes across Pilgangoora and Ngungaju operations. Develop and execute “management of change” requirements for PTW systems. Develop, review and implement isolation plans for all areas of the process plant. Integrate new process infrastructure into PTW system. Ensure isolation points in the field are documented. Conduct regular P&ID reviews and submit redlined drawings. Coordinate isolation plans to support production and maintenance schedules. Provide high-level permit planning updates to the Process Superintendent. Communicate permitted activities across the workforce. Develop a document control environment for PTW documentation. Manage PTW documentation including high-risk work certificates. Manage direct reports and provide training to Permit and Isolation Officers.Deliver and maintain online training courses for permit control levels. Manage the training plan to develop competent isolators. Implement short, medium and long-term plans. Maintain isolation and gas testing equipment. Manage the Permit Office and isolation safety equipment budget. Review external contractor isolation procedures against PLS systems. Develop and roll out isolation audit schedule. Lead and support the Process Department in teamwork, culture and engagement. Supervise Permit & Isolation Officers to ensure high quality performance. Health Safety and Environment Lead field interactions and coordinate inspections. Develop systems to manage PTW document compliance. Contribute to risk reduction through continuous improvement. Oversee isolation of equipment to ensure safety of personnel. About You Driver’s license (WA C-class or equivalent). Certificate IV Training & Assessment. +5 years solid experience in fixed plant process operations. +3 years leadership experience in a processing/operations team. Significant experience in Permit to Work Systems. Ability to read and understand P&ID and engineering drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Mechanical aptitude. Teamwork and culture contribution. Initiative. Knowledge of mining, safety, and environmental legislation. Experienced in plant shutdown planning and run-up.
