Job Overview Mental Health Rehabilitation Clinician, Team 1 Community – St George Mental Health Service Employment Type : Temporary Full Time (through to March 2027) Position Classification : Occupational Therapist Level 1, Occupational Therapist Level 2, Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker Level 1, Social Worker Level 2 Remuneration : $74,317.94 - $117,755.00 per annum, plus superannuation Hours per Week : 38 Location : Kogarah, Sydney Applications close date : 23 November 2025 About the Role St George Community Mental Health is seeking a motivated, passionate, strengths‑and‑recovery‑oriented clinical practitioner to join a well‑established, contemporary multidisciplinary team. The clinician will work in a community rehabilitation setting, delivering individual and group care that supports clients’ recovery and empowerment. Where you’ll be working St George Community Mental Health Service, located at Kirk Place, Kogarah, opposite St George Hospital campus. The site is close to public transport, cafes and beaches. Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Psychologist with a four‑year degree and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). Demonstrated core competency skills in mental health rehabilitation, including the ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation services (e.g., living skills assessment and training, vocational interventions, health promotion, motivational interviewing, psychological strategies). Commitment to a strengths‑and‑consumer‑focused, recovery‑oriented approach, rehabilitation principles, current models of practice and associated interventions to support recovery. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage proactively with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and promote community linkage and partnership building. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and exercise independent professional judgment on routine matters, commensurate with experience. Computer skills and capacity to use health information systems. Commitment to quality improvement, evidence‑based practice and ongoing clinical and professional learning.
