Mental Health Clinician, Team 1 - St George MHS NSW Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Level 1, Occupational Therapist Level 2, Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker Level 1, Social Worker Level 2 Remuneration: $74,317.94 - $117,755 per annum, plus superannuation Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ Location: Kogarah, Sydney Applications close date: 14 December 2025 About the Role St George Community Mental Health is looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate mental health clinician to work as part of a well‑established, contemporary multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities The CMH Clinician will provide comprehensive strengths‑based and recovery‑focused assessments with consumers and formulate time‑limited packages of care signed off by consumers and their caregivers. These packages detail the clinical mental health services and other wrap‑around supports to be provided. They will deliver high‑quality evidence‑based clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for adults referred to the service with a mental illness or disorder. Interventions will be based on an appropriate model of practice specified by the individual’s professional background, skills, and experience and will be informed by evidence‑based treatment guidelines. Qualifications & Selection Criteria Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications and current full registration with AHPRA (or equivalent); Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; Psychologist with a four‑year degree and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). Demonstrated experience in the mental health assessment, treatment and management of persons with a mental illness, with skills transferable to a community setting. Demonstrated commitment to a consumer‑focused recovery‑oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated skills in time management. Computer literacy skills. Current driver’s licence (or willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
