About You: The position is a 12-month temporary 3-point promotional role. As an Instructional Specialist, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You’ll bring: expertise in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies; minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a school capacity to lead collaborative practice with colleagues to modify and expand their repertoire of teaching strategies by modelling exemplary classroom practice; proven ability to lead school-wide improvement initiatives targeted at lifting student achievement and growth; evidence of supporting the implementation of 'SCS Excellence in Action' across Sydney Catholic Schools; strong classroom management and student well‑being focus; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences for students and staff; a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation; Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
