Cross Border Contracts is in search of a self‑motivated and an experienced Health and Safety Advisor for a permanent work opportunity. Our client operates in the civil construction industry with a focus on tunnelling infrastructure projects throughout Australia, therefore relevant civil experience would be crucial for this role. They place the safety, wellbeing and personal development of their people as a priority, with a focus on delivery of a quality product to a broad range of clients, ensuring steady company growth. This opportunity will require on‑site WHS support for a major microtunnelling project, managing safety documentation, conducting inspections, and guiding the project team to ensure compliance and safe delivery. Previous experience with high risk work activities would be useful in this role. Role Responsibilities Support the development, implementation, and review of site‑specific WHS management plans and procedures. Ensure all activities comply with Sydney Water, local council, and NSW WHS regulatory requirements. Review, update, and manage safety documentation, including SWMS, permits, incident reports, and corrective action registers. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements. Lead and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre‑start briefings. Coordinate incident investigations and track safety performance trends. Liaise with project management, engineers, and supervisors to proactively identify hazards and implement risk controls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
