We work hard, fast and take joy in getting exceptional results for our clients ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a motivated Casual Reservations Agent to join our team two days a week (set days) to cover a maternity leave position. There is potential for growth and additional shifts in the future. The role focuses on ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department by delivering prompt, effective and accurate reservation services to maximise room revenue and meet or exceed targets. You’ll work closely with a growing reservations team, collaborating with fellow agents and reporting to the Reservations Manager to consistently achieve and surpass client expectations. Implementation of standard operating procedures with regards to the reservation flow according to internal and client standards. Responsible for all inbound reservations across differentiated market segments. Handling of all reservation correspondence via diverse media including but not limited to telephone, email, reservation system generated proposals etc. Responsible for recording corporate and contracted rates both in system and correspondence files. Follows up tentative bookings across all segments and update reservation status accordingly. Coordinates no-show and cancelled reservations and processes charges according to the clients policy. Coordinates room blocking for long-stay, suites and group requests. Maintain cordial relations with commercial clients. Bring to the attention of Reservation Managers when the client availability status is required to be changed and prepare for necessary action. Ensure effective communication within the reservations team, implementing call strategies aligned with each client's service contract. Actively participate in meetings across sales, marketing, and revenue departments, maintaining a positive and interactive environment that aligns with Nuvho's culture. ABOUT YOU You must be a passionate, all-in kind of person Have a positive can-do attitude, motivated and driven to succeed Experience in collaborating with clients on group, wedding, leisure and corporate reservations is essential Excellent verbal and written communication Adaptable to change PMS savvy Sales orientated with the ability to influence, upsell and negotiate Thrive in team environments but is also able to perform independently A minimum of 1 years experience in a 4+star hotel front office environment is desirable Ability to work two set days per week on a consistent schedule.
