Maintenance Fitter Location: Dandenong Salary: $50–$65 per hour + Super + Overtime A leading dairy processing and manufacturing company in Dandenong is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full‑time, stable role working strictly on day shift. Offering $50–$65 per hour, this position is available as temp-to-perm or immediate permanent for the right candidate. The Role This hands‑on role involves preventative and reactive (breakdown) maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement across a range of dairy processing, packaging, and filling equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the plant operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on dairy processing and packaging machinery Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, conveyors, pasteurisers, and related equipment Support continuous improvement and reliability projects Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, OHS, and strict dairy hygiene standards Provide technical support to production teams to minimise downtime Maintain accurate maintenance records – MEX CMMS experience highly regarded About You Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III Mechanical or equivalent) Minimum 4 years’ experience in dairy, food, or FMCG manufacturing Strong skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance Familiarity with MEX or similar CMMS systems (advantageous) Hands‑on, reliable, and proactive with a strong safety and hygiene mindset Excellent communication and teamwork skills Welding or fabrication experience a plus Forklift licence preferred but not essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
