Senior Analyst | Financial Intelligence Unit Join to apply for the Senior Analyst | Financial Intelligence Unit role at Macquarie Group . As part of the Risk Management Group our team collects and assesses intelligence from global intelligence bodies to identify emerging threats applicable to Macquarie. Our team assists on transaction monitoring and investigations, name screening and enhanced due diligence activities as required, supporting an intelligence‑led approach to managing Financial Crime Risk. In this role, you will support Macquarie’s collection and assessment of financial crime intelligence, assist with law enforcement liaison activities, and help maintain FIU team procedures. You will develop and execute threat assessments, support line 2 investigation activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for managing team escalations and workflows to ensure timely responses to financial crime risk escalations. On an ad‑hoc basis, you will provide training on typologies, emerging threats, and financial crime procedures and regulation. You will also support senior team members in assurance monitoring reviews to assess and test the adequacy and effectiveness of financial crime systems and controls, identify and report breaches where relevant, and recommend opportunities to enhance policies, systems, and controls. Additionally, you will provide input to Financial Crime Risk Financial Intelligence Unit Management on potential process enhancements identified through your day‑to‑day responsibilities and participate in change initiatives or the implementation of changes as required. What You Offer Prior experience in a financial services institution, with an understanding of and experience in Financial Crime Risk. Effective stakeholder communication and feedback skills. Strong analytical abilities and risk assessment capability, with a client and stakeholder‑focused approach. Ability to adapt to new changes and challenges, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, well‑organised, and capable of prioritising workflows to meet deadlines.
