In this role, you will be responsible for providing water resource engineering expertise across a range of projects in Australia and New Zealand. You’ll work collaboratively with technical specialists, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality assessments and solutions. From field investigations to data analysis and reporting, you’ll play a key role in supporting sustainable water resource management and environmental outcomes. About the team We are looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to help us deliver a strong pipeline of work on high profile and challenging projects. We invest in building and sustaining trusted relationships with key clients including but not limited to; water authorities, resources clients, council and government authorities as well as contribute to a range of joint ventures on road and rail projects. We are also currently helping to implement the intent of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan through projects in NSW, Victoria and South Australia. The role sits within the Water Resources Section which encompasses the Australia and New Zealand region. We support flexible working arrangements, and the successful candidate can be based anywhere within this area, although we have a preference for Victoria. Our section contains a range of specialist skills in hydrology, flood modelling, aquatic ecology, water quality, hydrogeology and waterway engineering. Here’s what you’ll need A degree in Engineering Strong foundational knowledge of Hydrology and Hydraulics Proficiency in flood modelling software (RORB, Tuflow) and GIS tools (QGIS) Ability to author and review technical reports and risk assessments Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing interactions Experience in scoping and managing projects, leading a team to deliver on time, on budget and to agreed quality Ideally experience working within a busy multidisciplinary consultancy Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team Experience in synthesising technical data and presenting findings clearly With safety and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximise your potential.
