About You Due to our growth of over 200 new students joining the college, we are seeking dynamic and passionate Primary/Junior School Teachers to join our team in 2026. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Primary education principles and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. You should be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. As a Junior/Primary School Teacher at Iqra College, you will play a vital role in inspiring a love for learning, fostering critical thinking skills, and wonder in our students. About the Role Please note this position can be a permanent contract with IQRA College. Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement dynamic and interactive lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum and the values of Iqra College. Have sound knowledge of Junior or primary year levels learning. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child. Be passionate about how learning occurs and utilize a variety of appropriate pedagogies to engage students and enhance their understanding of concepts. Be creative in assessing student progress through ongoing formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support their growth. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross‑cultural initiatives and extracurricular activities that enrich the learning experience. Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Education or relevant field. Valid teaching certification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia or any other state. Demonstrated experience working with junior/primary school-aged children. Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum (the ability to integrate Islamic values into teaching practices is optional). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. Right to live and work in Australia.
