Job Overview Australian Attorney–General's DepartmentDarwin, NTA$130,663 – $146,130 p / a On‑sitePosted 1 day ago Position Title Director of Public Prosecutions – Crown Prosecutor Key Responsibilities Maintain carriage of indictable criminal prosecutions, instructing and junioring in both Supreme Court trials and the Court of Criminal Appeal. Conduct less complex jury trials, sentence and breach applications in the Supreme Court. Appear in committal proceedings and contested summary prosecutions in the Local Court. Qualifications Admitted or eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory of Australia. Experience in criminal law and advocacy. Knowledge and understanding of criminal law, Uniform Evidence Law and DPP Guidelines. Excellent organisational skills, strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
