Senior Legal Counsel (Interim – 4 to 6 months) Company: Dovetail Legal Solutions Pty Ltd Location: Sydney, NSW Salary: A$220,000–260,000 p/a Employment: Contract (hybrid) Posted: 15 days ago Summary An excellent interim opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel with finance and investments experience to join a financial institution in Sydney. With a focus on infrastructure and property asset investments, this is an interim contract role initially for 4 to 6 months, with flexible working arrangements from Sydney CBD. Company This financial institution manages investments and financial risk for clients across multiple asset classes, including infrastructure and property assets. Role You will provide legal support to the investments team, with a focus on infrastructure and property assets. This interim role runs for 4–6 months, based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working flexibility. Advise on infrastructure and property investment transactions, including structuring, risk assessment and regulatory compliance. Draft, review and negotiate investment management and other investment services agreements. Review investor reports, updates and marketing materials for legal and regulatory compliance. Liaise with and manage external legal providers as directed. Monitor and advise on changes to legal and regulatory frameworks. Support the General Counsel and contribute to projects, committees and cross‑functional initiatives. Qualifications Minimum 7 years’ post‑admission experience in banking and finance, with exposure to funds management and wholesale investments, including advising on infrastructure and property asset investments. Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate advice. Clear communication skills, able to explain complex legal concepts in plain language to diverse stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a small legal team while maintaining integrity and professional standards. Offer Competitive remuneration aligned with experience.
