Seed Heritage is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead and oversee the end‑to‑end production process across all categories. This pivotal role ensures our products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and international suppliers. Please note: this is a 12‑month fixed term contract role. Role Manage production schedules, critical paths, and monthly handovers to suppliers. Lead weekly production meetings with design and production teams. Oversee production costings, margin reporting, and supplier negotiations. Manage shipping, logistics, and Melbourne warehouse dispatches. Implement and maintain quality control procedures across all suppliers and factories. Ensure compliance with labelling and product regulations in Australian and international markets. Track supplier performance and manage new supplier onboarding. Maintain records and reporting for bulk liability fabrics. Lead, mentor, and develop Production and Product Coordinators. Travel internationally to supplier locations as required. On‑site role, 5 days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. Ideal Candidate Minimum 7 years’ experience in apparel production management (fashion/retail preferred). Deep understanding of end‑to‑end production processes, critical path planning, and supplier management. Knowledge of grading rules, quality control, and international shipping/logistics. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Analytical, highly organised, and problem‑solving mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management systems (e.g., RAMIS). Experience managing international suppliers and willingness to travel. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, Textile Science, Production/Operations Management, or Business/Supply Chain Management. Certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management are desirable. Must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Why Join the Seed Heritage Team?
