Expression of interest - Team Leader - Mechanical Fitters to join our dynamic team in Pakenham . This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team working on the modification of new and refurbished High-Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) rollingstock. About the Role As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of Mechanical Fitters to ensure high-quality modifications are delivered on time and to specification. You will provide technical guidance, manage workflow, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Fitters, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met Allocate tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Zero Harm principles Liaise with supervisors and project managers to resolve technical issues Support training and development of team members Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives Skills & Experience ✔ Trade-qualified: Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Fitter) ✔ Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role ✔ Rail industry experience - highly desirable ✔ Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide guidance ✔ Strong organizational and communication skills ✔ Flexible, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset Additional certifications such as Forklift, Dogmen, Crane, Working at Heights, and EWP tickets are desirable.
