The Role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Leading Hand to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in the construction industry while working on diverse, high‑quality projects across Sydney. As a Construction Cadet, you will work closely with the director, learning the ins and outs of building, site supervision, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Support site managers in achieving construction programme milestones and quality outcomes. Execute physical works on site and supervise subcontractors as needed. Liaise with supervisors to provide direction to workers, promoting efficiency and productivity. Assist with coordinating labour, equipment, and materials to meet daily goals. Perform safety assessments and ensure OHS compliance across worksites. Foster professional relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Contribute to ongoing learning and development within the team and your Cadet. What We’re Looking For A passion for construction and a desire to build a career in the industry. Minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction. Availability across Monday to Saturday. Current enrolment in or recent completion of a relevant qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction, or equivalent). Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Basic understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
