About The Opportunity As an Associate Network Engineer in the HWAN Delivery Team, eHealth NSW, you will play a key role in supporting and securing network infrastructure across NSW Health. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, customers and vendors to deliver high‑quality network solutions and resolve complex issues. This role involves configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, out‑of‑band management) within a mixed‑vendor environment (Cisco, Fortinet, CradlePoint, OpenGear) and performing network migrations, upgrades and decommissions. Occasional after‑hours work may be required to support key initiatives. In This Role You Will Generate and apply configuration to network devices within a mixed‑vendor environment Create network designs, complete technical handover checklists, change implementation plans, and other artefacts required by the project Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, eHealth NSW customers and third‑party vendors to plan, test, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues Participate in planning meetings with eHealth NSW project managers to schedule changes, reviews and customer migrations Manage IP subnet allocations across the eHealth NSW WAN and LAN subnets for eHealth NSW managed network customers Adhere to the Change Management process strictly Commit to the team’s continuous improvement process, contributing ideas and identifying ways to improve systems and processes Ensure that network devices are monitored and that network documentation is complete and up to date Provide training if required to both technical and non‑technical staff About You Cisco CCNA level certification (Routing & Switching) or equivalent experience Exposure to other networking vendors (Fortinet, Cradlepoint) highly regarded Intermediate knowledge of BGP routing and tunnelling protocols (GRE, IPSec) Experience with IPv4 address management (DHCP, Infoblox) Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Python scripting) Experience in managing tasks in ServiceNow and documenting work Exposure to Agile – Kanban way of working is an added advantage How To Apply Please submit your cover letter and resume (up to 5 pages), highlighting your relevant skills and experience.
