People & Culture Coordinator

Overview We are seeking a passionate and proactive People & Culture Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This role supports the full spectrum of employee experience, with a strong focus on engagement, wellbeing, onboarding, and performance support. Responsibilities Design and deliver initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and belonging Coordinate and continuously improve onboarding, offboarding, and milestone experiences (e.g., anniversaries, promotions) Partner with Director People & Culture to track and act on feedback from engagement surveys and employee check-ins Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to employees and line managers on policies, procedures, and best practices Guide line managers through performance management, employee relations, and case management Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create consistent, high-quality people experiences aligned with our values and culture Support internal communications and culture initiatives (e.g., events, recognition programs, DEI efforts) Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements Assist with policy rollout, internal campaigns, and continuous improvement of people-related processes Prepare reports, data analysis, and insights to support decision-making Support learning and development initiatives and cyclical HR programs Support fortnightly payroll activities About You Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory 2–4 years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar, ideally in a fast-paced or values-led environment Strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and people operations Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities Perks Access to LinkedIn Learning platform Employee Assistance Program Qoctor, online telehealth Flexible working - 2 weeks "Work beyond Borders" 1 full day of leave each year for work anniversaries Why Emesent?
