We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Public Areas Assistant Manager to join our passionate Hotel Operations team. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll help ensure that every corner of our public spaces — from lobbies and lounges to walkways and amenities — is immaculate, inviting, and reflective of the island’s world‑class standard. Your Role Reporting to the Public Areas Manager, you’ll assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Public Areas team across the Reef View Hotel and associated guest facilities. You’ll help maintain exceptional cleanliness standards, manage staff performance, and support the smooth running of services that enhance the guest experience from check‑in to check‑out. Where you’ll make an impact Supervise and coordinate the day‑to‑day cleaning and presentation of all hotel public areas. Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of hygiene and appearance. Support rostering, scheduling, and resource allocation for public area attendants. Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, ensuring timely ordering. Provide on‑the‑job training and mentoring to team members to maintain service excellence. Liaise with Maintenance, Front Office, and Housekeeping to promptly address guest and operational needs. Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards. What we’re looking for Previous supervisory or senior role in housekeeping or public area management, ideally within a hotel or resort environment. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining premium presentation standards. Strong leadership and communication skills with a positive, hands‑on attitude. Ability to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and housekeeping management systems advantageous. To be successful, you will need: A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
