This position is responsible for interpreting and applying planning legislation, and standards and the provision of specialist technical advice and guidance on a wide range of planning issues across the State. Typical tasks of the role include: Assessment and review of planning referrals for development applications, Subdivision applications, Local Development Plans, Improvement Plans, Structure Plans, Planning Schemes. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Strong interpersonal and excellent communications skills, Ability to negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, Proficient in achieving balanced transport planning outcomes, Ability to work in a diverse team environment, Lead pre‑lodgement meetings and stakeholder engagement, Support process improvement, Be adaptive, focused and professional.
