About the Role We now have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Planning Officer, to help deliver efficient and high‑quality statutory planning services for the City. You’ll assess development applications, provide planning advice to the community and stakeholders, and support senior staff with reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your planning skills within a supportive and collaborative team. About you You have (or are working toward) a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and bring strong communication, research and problem‑solving skills. You enjoy working with people, can manage competing deadlines, and are confident interpreting planning legislation and policies. Experience in local government or statutory planning is an advantage, but not essential. Salary and Benefits Starting from Level 7 Step 1 –Step 4 ($111,670.84 - $118,583.27) City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025 based on qualifications and experience.
