Participate in general faculty functions related to the educational program and faculty development activities including assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs). Assignments may include day, evening, fully online, hybrid (partially online), and / or weekend courses. Part-time, temporary, hourly assignments are on an as-needed basis. Part-time faculty meetings are conducted the week prior to the semester start. Course outlines of record, student learning outcomes to be assessed, and department policies will be provided or reviewed. The Information Technology Instructor teaches in the area of Information Technology, Computer Science and related courses. Responsibilities include leading courses that build skills needed for IT certifications, cyber-security, and computer applications. Instruction may be delivered in traditional face-to-face, online, compressed video, or hybrid formats. Supervisory and Management Responsibility : Students Qualifications Reports To : Dean of Career & Technical Education Education / Qualifications : Computer Science Master's degree or higher in content area from an accredited college or university; OR Bachelor's degree in content area from an accredited college or university AND a Master's degree in a related field; OR A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 or 2 above. (Applicants applying on the basis of equivalency must complete all Equivalency questions on their application in addition to all other required materials) IT, Cyber Security and Computer Applications AAS degree in related field required, bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work in a team with shared responsibilities and agreed upon objectives. Competent with modern technology for education and office applications. Ability to communicate high expectations for learning and attain high-level student performance. Skills necessary to work with a broad spectrum of student abilities. Interest and ability to incorporate educational technology. Ability to work collaboratively and collegially with partner faculty, community stakeholders and staff. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Part-time, temporary, hourly assignments are on an as-needed basis. Classroom, Office and Lab Settings. Some evenings and weekends as scheduled.
