Administration Officer Level 3 – Booking Office Employer: NSW Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Administrative Officer Level 3 Remuneration: $68,338.79 - $70,468.72 per annum plus superannuation Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ Application Close: Sunday, 30 November 2025 Location: Sydney Hospital & Sydney Eye Hospital, Sydney Overview We are seeking an administrative staff member to join our team in the booking office and support the Patient Access Unit of Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital. Responsibilities Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enables the Patient Access Unit to achieve objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner. Perform all clerical functions within the Patient Flow Unit as outlined in the NSW Ministry of Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy PD2012_011. Liaise and maintain open, effective lines of communication among all staff concerned with the admission of elective patients. Book and manage allocated Surgeons waiting‑list sessions to satisfy NSW Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy PD 2012_011. Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding environment. Experience responding to a range of enquiries and determining appropriate responses in a hospital setting. High‑level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives. Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and health information systems (IPM and EMR).
