Principal Program Officer, Business Concierge Join to apply for the Principal Program Officer, Business Concierge role at Queensland Government. A passion for small business? Working with the Queensland Government's Business Concierge Officers based in North Queensland you will lead the implementation of Small Business Disaster Resilience initiatives in conjunction with key stakeholders including local councils, chambers of commerce and business focussed community organisations. Supported by State and Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding, the position supports our small business communities impacted by recent natural disasters in North Queensland. You will work collaboratively with key small business stakeholders to influence the development and delivery of tailored resilience initiatives such as workshops, networking events, training and mentoring. You will work alongside our local Business Concierge officers to further the build the capacity of local business communities to navigate difficult times and bounce back after disaster strikes. In addition to your passion for business, and your genuine desire to help others succeed, you will have solid project and contract management experience to ensure the timely and appropriate use of available funding. At the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), we are improving customer services to Queenslanders, supporting small and family business owners, and providing better government services and support. We ensure customer‑focused, effective and accessible engagement with government for Queenslanders, small and family business owners and other government agencies. The Customer, Small and Family Business branch within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business assists small and family businesses to start, grow and be resilient by providing access to trusted, relevant information and support programs. As a key member of the Business Concierge team, you will work locally across all levels of government, industry and with stakeholders to ensure small and family businesses get access to government support and programs where and when they need them. Key competencies strong customer service approach includes creative problem solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. stakeholder management skills that demonstrate the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, management and staff as evidenced by the achievement of business objectives and performance targets. effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills and the ability to provide independent advice, both written and verbal, to senior officers on diverse issues. highly developed conceptual, analytical, research and computer skills as demonstrated by a record of analysis of information, data and trends, the preparation and presentation of findings through reports and presentations, and contribution to the achievement of objectives. This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery‑of‑Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
