Overview Home Care Worker (3) - Northern Beaches - Experienced (TRANSPAC) role at Silverchain Group . The position involves delivering high-quality in-home care to older clients in the Manly 2095 area, focusing on independence and wellbeing. Responsibilities Provide personal care services to aged care clients, including assistance with mobility, daily living activities, and therapy goals. Support clients with medications and complex care needs (e.g., dementia). Offer social and emotional support and transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments. Collaborate with a team of Case Managers, Therapy providers and Nurses to help clients achieve rehabilitation goals. General housekeeping duties as part of home help services (as applicable). What We’re Looking For Enjoy variety in daily tasks and are passionate about delivering excellent service. Can build positive relationships with clients and families. Remain resilient when facing challenging days or delays and maintain professionalism. Are comfortable working independently and know when to seek help from a manager. In Addition, You Will Need An open Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle. Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability. Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including personal care, manual handling, hoist training and assisting with medications. Proof of vaccination against Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough), Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chickenpox), Influenza, Covid-19. The Role You will be providing aged care clients with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day; assisting clients to take their medications; assisting with mobility and therapy goals; providing complex care for clients with high care needs (e.g., dementia); providing social and emotional support; providing client transport to activities or appointments; and supporting the family carer to have a break. Role Details General home help duties include making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, and meal preparation and grocery shopping.
