It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team. Working across Manly, Newport, Avalon, Forestville, Seaforth and other areas as part of the Northern Beaches region for TRANSPAC clients. TRANSPAC is a short-term restorative care program supporting clients to transition home after long term hospitalisation. What’s On Offer Guaranteed hours and shifts in the Northern Beaches area Above Award rate $46.91 per hour + Super + paid KM's Employee benefits program + salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free each year Paid CPR and First Aid courses Minimal domestic assistance work; shifts dedicated to high-impact care work delivering life-changing outcomes for clients Be part of a cohesive team of Case Managers, Therapy providers and Nurses to assist clients in achieving rehabilitation goals Opportunity to move beyond typical Level 3 work and expand your career What We’re Looking For Enjoy variety in their day Passionate about providing excellent service Can build positive relationships with clients and their families Resilient and able to adapt to challenges, maintaining professionalism Comfortable working independently and finding solutions, knowing when to ask for help In Addition, You Will Need An Open Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support in Ageing Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications Proof of vaccination against Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough), Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chickenpox), Influenza, Covid-19 The Role You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as: Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day Assisting clients to take their medications Assisting with mobility and therapy goals Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, such as dementia Providing social and emotional support Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things Why Choose Silverchain Silverchain is a not-for-profit organisation.
