Agriculture Teacher – Secondary – James Sheahan Catholic High School, Orange Location: Orange, New South Wales, Australia Type: Part‑Time Commencing: Term 1 Salary: $87,550 – $133,846 (pro‑rata) About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Agriculture Teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at James Sheahan Catholic High School in Orange, NSW. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the Agricultural Education curriculum while creating a nurturing and orderly learning environment for their students. Creating a learner‑centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies. Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress. Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapting practices for equitable education. Analyzing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement. Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes. Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contributing to school life. Providing student supervision and assisting in organising extracurricular activities. About You (selection Criteria) A commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools. Ability to integrate technology effectively to maximise student outcomes and engagement. Ability to work and teach as part of a professional learning team. Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures. Qualifications to teach Agriculture and Science courses, and qualifications or willingness to obtain qualifications in VET Primary Industries. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to build positive relationships and promote positive education.
