Vacancy Details Vacancy Number: 180 Position Title: Teacher Agriculture Employment Status: Casual Department: Food, Fibre and Animal Industries Location: Eden Park Award Classification: Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement 2024 Salary: $87.45 - $94.47 per hour Hours per Week: Up to 38 hours per week, subject to operational requirements Applications Close: Wednesday 24 December 2025 About The Role We are seeking a passionate Agriculture Teacher to deliver high‑quality vocational education and training across diverse learning environments. The role involves planning, delivering, assessing, and continuously improving programs that prepare students for careers in agriculture. Key responsibilities include designing inclusive curriculum, maintaining industry engagement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, teach, and assess learning activities that meet diverse learner needs Create and adapt teaching and assessment materials aligned with industry standards Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment Engage with industry networks to maintain vocational currency Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation Mentor and support entry‑level teachers and contribute to curriculum development Qualifications and Experience Relevant vocational qualifications and recent industry experience in agriculture Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) or equivalent Strong understanding of learner‑centred teaching principles and methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team High‑level ICT skills for e‑learning and reporting Knowledge of compliance requirements including AQTF and RTO standards Additional Requirements A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) A National Police Check How to Apply Click Apply to submit your application through Melbourne Polytechnic’s careers portal.
