Investments & Borrowings within ACT Treasury, Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD), has a permanent position opportunity as a Senior Director.The Senior Director position, reports to the Executive Branch Manager, Investments & Borrowings. The occupant of this position will:direct and control the financial operations and accounting functions and responsibilities of Investments & Borrowings; andprovide expertise and assistance in formulating and planning for the implementation of policy advice on strategic issues relating to the cash management, borrowing and investment management activities of the Government.To succeed in the role you must have:a sound knowledge of borrowing, investment and cash management principles and strategies and demonstrated experience with Australian financial markets.demonstrated experience with the implementation of financial investments and borrowings activities, including master custody and investment administration platforms, debt issuance programmes and ASX Austraclear.an effective working knowledge of the Financial Management Act 1996 relating to investments, borrowings and trust accounts and the Territory Superannuation Provision Protection Act 2000 and financial management guidelines for both Acts.sound accounting, numeracy and financial management skills, particularly within an accrual accounting framework supported by a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards relating to not-for-profit government entities and financial investment and debt instruments.The ACT Public Service supports workforce diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
