To find out more visit our website at **.**MSS Security is seeking a casual Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Mildura Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations.Your primary responsibility will be to prevent prohibited items, including weapons, from entering the terminal or aircraft.**Duties include but are not limited to:*** Conduct security screening for passengers, staff, and visitors.* Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, to identify potential risks or prohibited items.* Perform scans when required for passengers, staff, and visitors to ensure no prohibited items are being carried.* Conduct Explosive Trace Detection tests.* Operate X-ray machines to screen luggage for dangerous goods, prohibited items, or weapons.* Perform thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.* Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.**Ideal candidates will have:*** Strong customer service skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.* Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.**Requirements:*** Ability to undergo and pass a national security police check.* Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).* Full Australian working rights.**Master License Number:** S## **How to apply**MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.We are proud to:* be certified by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency,* be a partner and supporter of Veterans employment and honoured to have an endorsed INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan.
