Relationships and Fundraising Manager

We’re seeking a dynamic Relationships Manager to drive growth in corporate partnerships, government funding and individual giving. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead and implement our fundraising strategy with a focus on income generation through proactive supporter engagement and solicitation. This role is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of individual givers, government funding, securing significant philanthropic support through major gifts, gifts in wills, and other individual giving opportunities. About Us STREAT, a leading Melbourne-based social enterprise and youth organisation, providing comprehensive work readiness support to individuals aged 16-24, helping them secure and sustain employment. We offer holistic support, life skills training, and work experience, with job opportunities and ongoing support for graduates. STREAT operates food-related businesses, striving for industry leadership and sector growth. We’ve assisted nearly 4,500 young people, with 781 receiving intensive support, enabling successful transitions to work or further education/training while aiming to be sector leaders and contributors. The organisation is recognised nationally as a social innovator and has a strong brand and strong existing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across philanthropy, government, universities, industry, the social sector, and the general public. What you will be doing: Develop and implement a fundraising strategy focused on corporate partnerships, philanthropic support, government funding and individual giving achieving measurable year-on-year growth. Identify, secure, and grow high-value corporate and funding partnerships. Cultivate and steward relationships with major partners, donors and individual supporters, delivering personalised engagement plans and impact reports. Research and pursue new philanthropic and grant opportunities aligned with STREAT’s mission. Approach qualified supporters to request major gifts, effectively articulating STREAT’s mission, impact and fundraising needs. Collaborate with internal teams to showcase success stories and impact metrics that inspire donors and partners. Nurture relationships with supporters, ensuring their continued engagement and satisfaction and include growth strategies as the relationship matures. Represent STREAT at networking events, corporate presentations, and community forums. Achieve fundraising targets, as set annually by the Executive Team and Board. Effectively manage proposals, reports and commitments of partnerships and funding agreements. What you will bring: Fundraising expertise : Demonstrated experience in fundraising, with a strong track record in corporate partnerships and/or individual giving campaigns. Relationship management: Proven ability to build and maintain high-value relationships with corporate, government, philanthropic, and individual stakeholders. Strategic thinking: Ability to design and deliver fundraising strategies that achieve revenue targets and align with organisational goals. Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, including proposal writing and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences. Passion for social impact: Commitment to youth employment, social enterprise, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people. Collaboration & initiative: Strong team player who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and identify new opportunities proactively.
