Senior Graph Analytics Engineer (AWS Neptune & Linkurious) Location: Sydney or Melbourne (Hybrid – 4 days in office, flexible) Type: Permanent About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Graph Engineer with hands‑on experience with AWS Neptune , Linkurious , Ogma , and openCypher . You’ll sit at the intersection of front‑end engineering and graph analytics – wiring up Linkurious and Ogma, building rich graph interactions, designing openCypher queries and Neptune graph models , and building pipelines that keep those models up to date so analysts can explore complex networks (fraud, financial crime, relationships, etc.). Key Responsibilities Graph Application & Front‑End Engineering Configure and extend Linkurious Enterprise as the core graph exploration and investigation tool. Build and customise graph visualisations using Ogma (styles, layouts, interactions, custom widgets/components). Develop scripts, and integrations to tailor Linkurious/Ogma to specific user workflows. Collaborate with UI teams (e.g. modern front‑end frameworks) to embed graph capabilities into existing applications and portals. Neptune Modelling & Pipelines Design, implement, and maintain graph data models in AWS Neptune (nodes, edges, labels, properties) aligned to real business entities and relationships. Configure and build out data pipelines to feed Neptune models from multiple source systems (files, APIs, event streams, relational sources, etc.). Define and manage incremental loads, change data capture, and data quality checks so Neptune stays in sync with source systems. Write and optimise openCypher queries over Neptune to support key investigative patterns and common user journeys. Integration & Platform Integrate Linkurious/Neptune with upstream and downstream systems via REST APIs and services. Work with platform teams to ensure deployments fit within existing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure standards. Contribute to monitoring, logging and basic operational support for the graph stack (Neptune + Linkurious + Ogma + pipelines). User Experience, Enablement & Consulting Work with analysts, investigators, and business SMEs to understand how they ask questions and run investigations, then translate that into graph views, filters, templates, and alerts. Run workshops, demos, and training to help users adopt graph visualisation and make the most of Linkurious. Produce clear documentation and handover material for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Required Skills & Experience We’re keen to speak to you if you’re strong in most of the following: Core Technical Hands‑on experience with AWS Neptune in production (graph modelling, loading data, performance tuning). Experience designing and operating data pipelines feeding Neptune (Glue, Spark, custom Python/JS jobs, or similar tooling). Practical experience with Linkurious Enterprise (or a closely related graph investigation tool). Experience using openCypher against a graph database (ideally Neptune openCypher mode ). Hands‑on use of Ogma (or equivalent low‑level graph visualisation libraries) – styling, layouts, event handling, custom interactions. Solid understanding of graph data modelling for analytical/investigative use cases. Experience integrating with REST APIs and working within microservice or service‑based architectures. Familiarity with modern front‑end stacks (e.g. React, Vue, or similar) and how they consume graph backends. Comfortable with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows. Ways of Working Experience working in agile teams (scrum/kanban). Strong communication skills – able to explain graph concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Comfortable collaborating with both business and technical teams (data engineers, architects, analysts). Nice to Have Experience with other graph databases and tools (Neo4j, JanusGraph, etc.). Background in fraud detection, financial crime, investigations, risk, or network analysis . Familiarity with AWS platform services (VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch).
