Leader of Learning & Wellbeing - School Coordinator Level 1 maximum term contract Join our team as a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing - School Coordinator (Level 1) in a one‑year maximum term contract with the possibility of an extension. This is a fantastic chance to grow your leadership experience while making a real difference in a supportive and collaborative environment. The one‑year coordinator role you may be required to undertake some on‑class teaching responsibilities. Working Locations Our satellite classes will be based at Barrack Heights, Albion Park and Unanderra (within the University of Wollongong). You may be required to work at any of these sites as a teacher and may oversee some or all of the satellite classes in your role as a coordinator and therefore must be able to travel to these sites on any given day if student or staff support is needed. Our main campus classes are situated at Aspect South Coast School in Corrimal. Visit our website to learn more about our school: Aspect South Coast School Responsibilities As a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing you will lead and collaborate with a team of specialists including teachers, teachers aides, school therapists, coordinators, administrators and other Aspect staff to deliver our evidence‑informed student‑focused autism‑specific approach. Use a person‑centred and family‑focused approach to ensure the delivery of quality educational standards. As a core member of the school's Learning Support Team (LST) you will lead and supervise the teaching team and partner parents, carers and other members of the school community. Qualifications To provide for consistency of support we are looking for coordinators who are currently working or are available to work full‑time (38hrs per week) 5 days per week starting Term Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA) Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others Proven ability to work with Assisted School Transport (ASTP) providers and contractors as needed Proven ability to manage the daily staffing schedule and process as required Proven ability to work with staff and parents and engage in proactive but sometimes difficult conversations. Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and other areas of need. Experience in developing IPs and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum. NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment Have a current driver's licence (per relevant state legislation) A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence is desirable but not necessary. You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
