Enterprise Business Development Representative Join Contentful as an Enterprise Business Development Representative and play a key role in driving growth by managing the lead pipeline and identifying new sales opportunities. About the Opportunity As a member of our sales team, you’ll have a direct impact on the company’s growth by managing the lead pipeline and identifying leads with an emphasis on outbound activities. Your role will also involve refining our sales prospecting techniques and qualifying new incoming leads. Responsibilities Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through strategic and personalized outreach. Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and help build their pipelines, receiving consistent feedback to sharpen your skills. Document, map, and strategize using use‑case details, stakeholder information, vendor decision process, and next steps to better understand and generate new opportunities. Prioritize opportunities and apply internal resources to move accounts through the customer journey. Use and keep Salesforce.com up‑to‑date for lead management and sales forecasting, and engage with other sales tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc. Ensure timely follow‑up with all prospects in a fast‑paced environment. Achieve monthly and quarterly goals of qualified opportunities and meetings booked for the Account Executives. Qualifications Previous BDR/SDR experience in a similar or adjacent industry. Self‑starter who proactively moves conversations forward. Willingness to attend occasional in‑person events and support hybrid work expectations. Coachable, competitive, and eager to grow a sales career. Excellent collaboration skills with teammates and prospective customers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong listening skills and effective note‑taking. Ability to proactively qualify customer needs and articulate business opportunities to the AE team. Meticulous in following set processes and updating systems, while proposing improvements. Detail‑oriented, data‑driven, and with a technical understanding and keen interest in technology.
