Business Development Representative PayPal is revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Job Description Summary The BDR Team partners closely with the Sellers to align on the GTM focus and strategy, alongside our Database Marketing team to provide constructive feedback for quality improvement on leads that come through the top of the funnel. Our BDRs lead engagements with continuous collaboration with Sales Enablement, and you will be constantly delivering a best in class experience. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is the catalyst to convert top of funnel interest to revenue. This vital role is the “lead gen engine” and will drive PayPal’s market share by generating new opportunity for the sales pipeline. By executing high velocity outreach to merchants, the BDR leverages tactics such as cold calling, social selling, digital communication, and events networking. The BDR is a strategic liaison to our sellers and merchants alike, ultimately this high-level performer drives demand and creates interest with some of the most impressive brands in the world. Essential Responsibilities Engage and collaborate with immediate team members. Contribute to solutions and suggest process efficiencies. Exercise judgment on issues of importance within the team. Assist in early-stage sales funnel activities to drive revenue growth. Utilize customer contact information to nurture interest and gain commitment. Expected Qualifications 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of sales, marketing or business development experience. Previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns. Strong passion for Sales with a dynamic hunter personality to reach decision makers is essential. Motivation and energy to drive early-stage revenue opportunities. Desire to learn enterprise sales methodologies and strategies. A high degree of comfort with “cold calls” and skill at navigating through various barriers to engage with key decisionmakers. Demonstrated track record of achieving both individual & team goals in a professional setting. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively, both on independently and as part of a team, in a high energy, ever-changing, dynamic sales environment. Proficiency in Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator and GONG is a plus. Bachelor Degree preferred.
