About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest to join the Priority Support Services (PSS) team within the Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC), based in either Perth or Brisbane. Operating 24x7 on a Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of day and night shifts, the TROC team supports a wide range of safety and production‑critical Operational Technology (OT) systems across Minerals Australia assets. Shifts are 12.5 hours including handover, and you will benefit from additional shift allowances, as part of your remuneration package. PSS Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our Integrated Operations Centre (IROC / IOC) across Coal and WAIO assets. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, the team manage and resolve system faults, ensuring the consistent delivery of critical production services through proactive monitoring and event management. Their work is essential to maintaining safe and smooth operations across BHP sites. This role requires you to support a wide range of safety and production‑critical OT to minimise impacts to our Minerals Australia assets. You will collaborate closely with IROC/IOC dispatch and control teams, Level 2 and 3 support, vendors and operational personnel to troubleshoot and restore system availability. Your responsibilities include executing planned maintenance activities safely, delivering minor improvement works, performing scheduled software installations and supporting business continuity through regular checks of backup facilities. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Completed a tertiary or vendor qualification in either a technology, science or engineering discipline Previous experience working in an OT Operations Centre is highly preferred Previous mining/resources remote site process control experience preferred, including operational support of mission‑critical services Self‑motivated and effective communicator with strong analytical problem‑solving skills Strong ability to translate technical business requirements to non‑technical audiences Ability to take ownership of critical incident resolution, driving incidents to closure Rapidly troubleshoot and solve complex technology problems to restore production system availability in a structured, timely manner Review root cause of incidents and work with appropriate teams to ensure continuous improvement of the technology environment Apply effective risk controls to identify potential threats and minimise or remove a service impact Experience supporting similar production systems as below is highly desirable but not required: IT Service Management processes and tools such as ServiceNow Exposure to the ITIL framework Experience with application system support Basic understanding of networks and hosting systems Familiarisation with fleet management systems Recognises and can isolate issues within layered systems (network connectivity / application performance / server issues) Operational experience within industrial or mining environments will be well regarded but is not mandatory.
