About the Position The Graduate Production Engineer position is primarily responsible for providing support to the production team in their objective to produce lighting fixtures and accessories with high levels of safety, quality, efficiency and minimal cost. In addition to this, the Graduate Production Engineer has a role to support our internal customers (being internal sales and customer support team members) by providing relevant information and documentation to allow them to obtain customer orders for our products. This role will collaborate closely with our Sales, Customer Service, New Product Development, Quality Safety and Environment, and Production Teams. Key Responsibilities Engineering customised lighting solutions for our broad customer range Creation of Bills of Materials (for codes and costings) CAD Drawings in 2D and 3D, including sheet metal (SolidWorks knowledge essential) Management of production files: Flat Patterns (DXF), Folding programs Assist the design team to execute on the renovation road map Technical support to the sales and customer service teams Assisting the Quality department with solutions Programming of production machinery and tooling Assisting production teams to problem solve issues Developing and implementing process improvements that will improve safety, improve quality, reduce cost and improve efficiency Implementing problem solving tools (Six Sigma, Red X, 8D) to resolve complex problems Creating business cases and capital expenditure requests for Capex projects.
