Tropicana is seeking an experienced and passionate Italian Pastry Chef for this iconic restaurant in Darlinghurst Sydney. As a full‑time role, you will be responsible for creating all Italian pastries for our Pasticceria display and restaurant. Key responsibilities Develop and refine the restaurant pastry offering Mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to provide an exceptional pastry, desserts and cakes experience Monitor inventory, manage food costs, and implement cost‑effective measures Collaborate with the management team on strategic menu planning and business growth initiatives What we're looking for Minimum of 4 years' experience as an Italian Pastry Chef Extensive knowledge of Italian pastry and desserts, including a deep understanding of traditional recipes, flavour profiles, and preparation techniques Excellent time‑management and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail Proficient in menu development, costing, and inventory management Passion for creating visually appealing, delicious pastry and desserts to delight our customers What we offer At Tropicana Caffe, we are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters professional growth and development.
