The Standard Market Company is located within the busy retail precinct of Gasworks Plaza, Newstead. We specialise in gourmet food across our butcher shops, delis, fruit shops, bakeries, juice and gelati bars, and are undergoing major growth. Join a company where more than 20% of permanent employees have worked for over 10 years. We currently have a Casual Bakery Customer Service Assistant vacancy to fill within our team. In this role, you will be working within a close-knit, fun team, providing outstanding service and knowledge in high-quality gourmet bakery products. Responsibilities Store set up – packaging, wrapping different bakery products to be displayed on shelves. Arrange cake and food displays. Slicing breads, heating pies, merchandising, assisting Pastry Chefs with packaging, serving customers. Providing exceptional customer service. Taking orders over the phone. Use of POS register. EFTPOS & cash handling. Cleaning & sanitisation of display cabinets and direct work areas. Eligibility and Experience Must be available for an immediate start. Must be physically fit as this role requires you to be able to lift and move products regularly. Be reliable and hard working. Be a team player with good communication skills. Have a passion for high quality baked goods. Previous experience within a bakery environment will be highly regarded.
