La Vita Restaurant and Bar – East Geelong, VIC Annual Package : $76,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation La Vita Restaurant and Bar is a well-established dining venue located in East Geelong. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team. About the Role As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high‑quality meals, ensuring consistency, hygiene and efficiency in kitchen operations during service hours. Key Responsibilities Plan and prepare a wide range of dishes and daily specials Cook and present food to high standards and within service timeframes Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and occupational health standards Supervise kitchen staff and support training and rostering as required Manage inventory, stock rotation and liaise with suppliers Collaborate with the team to maintain kitchen efficiency and customer satisfaction Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Diploma of Hospitality Management Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills Commitment to delivering consistent and high‑quality service What We Offer Competitive annual package of $76,000 – $80,000 plus super Full‑time stable position in a supportive work environment Opportunities for professional development and career growth To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
