You are self-motivated with a strong team focus and have great communication skills. Although you are a hands‑on, energetic team player you can also work autonomously and take initiative to get the job done. You are a fast learner with an aptitude to understand weed management and are prepared to work in the heat and sun. You will have a basic understanding of equipment and safety and have a willingness to advance in the civil construction and vegetation management industry. THE BUSINESS & ROLE: Dufty Civil Solutions is a progressive earthmoving and plant hire company based in Emerald. Catering to a diverse range of clients, our services span from grass mowing to complex road construction. We also specialise in pest and vegetation management, underlining our commitment to a wide range of environmental management solutions. As a leading service provider in the resources and renewable energy sectors, we pride ourselves on our versatility and adaptability. Our offerings include both dry and wet plant hire, civil construction services, site maintenance and vegetation management. This range ensures flexibility and efficiency for every project. Due to continued growth a position has become available within our Vegetation Management team. You will be playing a vital part in the continued growth and smooth running of this team with your role, involving but not limited to: Completion of Daily Equipment Pre‑starts Conduct and follow risk assessments and procedures for tasks Operate Skid Steer with Slasher / mulcher Operate Mower & Whipper Snipper Chemical Spray Application Data Collection and Logging Highly regarded skills/qualifications: ACDC Weed Spraying Competency Agricultural experience / vegetation control experience Working within a close‑knit team and playing an integral part in the smooth running of the business, your hard work will be appreciated and rewarded. This role is full‑time, and applicants must be available to work up to 12.5hr days on a 9 / 5, 8 / 6 or 7 / 7 day roster.
