Senior Civil Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Brisbane office which is located in Fortitude Valley. You will be part of a collaborative experienced team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects from subdivisions and car parks to commercial high-rise education industrial and sporting developments. The role As a Senior Civil Engineer you will play a pivotal role in delivering practical future-focused engineering solutions across a diverse project landscape. From early concept through to construction completion you design delivery collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and shape real-world outcomes that enhance the built environment. This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same blending technical challenge project leadership client engagement and mentorship. In this role you will : Take ownership of civil engineering projects from feasibility to final delivery Prepare Civil DA reports and stormwater management plans that balance innovation with compliance Design a variety of infrastructure elements including roads intersections pavements earthworks and drainage systems Oversee construction phase activities including site inspections contractor coordination and contract administration Lead the development of high-quality tender and construction documentation Coordinate across internal disciplines and external consultants to deliver fully integrated outcomes Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with quality safety and performance standards You will also : Conduct site investigations and technical assessments to shape project strategy Review and sign off on design documentation prior to council or authority lodgement Act as a key liaison with architects developers contractors and regulatory bodies Influence design reviews risk workshops and strategic project planning Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems templates and workflows Mentor and support junior engineers to grow technical depth and confidence About you We are looking for an experienced technically strong and well-rounded engineer with a passion for quality and teamwork. You will have : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (essential) 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and consultancy Strong capability in stormwater flood modelling and pavement design Working knowledge of 12D AutoCAD DRAINS MUSIC XPStorm (not essential) Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills Proven ability to manage projects stakeholders and timelines Solid knowledge of Australian Standards planning frameworks and engineering codes Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team RPEQ registration (or eligibility) Must have Australian work rights Business development and client liaison experience (advantageous) Experience with Queensland based projects will be highly regarded Why join STP Consultants At STP our values Potential Respect Integrity Deliver Engage guide how we work and support each other.
