We are currently seeking a Retail Logistics Support Specialist to join the onsite Mercedes‑Benz Australia Global Customer Service and Parts (GCSP) Logistics Operations Division. The team collectively manages a large national logistics centre located in Laverton North, Melbourne, where the role is based. By joining our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the operation including warehousing, transportation and supplier management. The role has plenty of variety with a focus on customer service management for logistics enquiries, inbound transportation (sea and air freight) from our Global Logistics Centre Germany and Regional Logistics Centre Malaysia and process optimisation. Key Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in optimising our logistics operations. Provide support to the Mercedes‑Benz internal and external customer network, stakeholders and suppliers to meet customer expectations and internal targets. Ensure that 3PL providers are meeting contractual requirements, key performance indicators and service levels. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data management and automation solutions into existing systems. Gather retailer feedback and insights to identify improvement areas and implement changes that enhance the retailer / customer experience. Ensure all processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations and quality standards (compliance). Analyse operational reports and collaborate with GCSP teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Manage inbound transport operations, including sea freight and air freight shipments, monitoring 3PL performance and ensuring adherence to DIFOT requirements. Coordinate inbound transport with the Customs and Shipping Manager and maintain accurate ETA information for retailers. Conduct audits of inbound transport and logistics procedures to ensure compliance with GCSP standards. Manage compliance processes, special market requirements and support audit methodology to ensure ongoing adherence to standards. Qualifications Strong customer‑first approach with excellent decision‑making skills. Team‑player, organised, friendly with a relationship‑styled approach in dealing with suppliers and customers. Ability to manage own workload and multi‑task. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset towards logistics operations. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is highly desirable. Warehousing and Transport Operations experience. Knowledge of SAP, ERP, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory systems highly desirable. Knowledge of warehouse management, inventory, freight management and 3rd‑party freight system tracking highly regarded. Intermediate proficiency in Power‑BI, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
