Research & Development / Quality Technologist Leda Nutrition is a family-owned company which produces a diverse range of special dietary/ gluten free bakery snacks, crackers and biscuits. As well as supplying into all the major Australian supermarkets, we also have export markets in New Zealand. An exciting opportunity exists for Research and Development Manager at our Luscombe (Yatala) manufacturing plant. Qualifications & experience A passion for food is a must Ideally degree qualified as a Food Technologist or related qualification. You will have had well-rounded experience in a similar role, ideally managing the new product development of GF shelf stable foods, e.g. biscuits, crackers, bars & bites. Experience in product formulation and all stages of the product development will be essential to your success in the role. Someone who thrives in a fast paced, busy, dynamic and agile environment that is constantly evolving. A nimble learner who actively learns through implementation and experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning opportunities. Previous working with Woolworths Sphere would be advantageous. Tasks & responsibilities As the Research and Development Technologist you will lead all site technical activities associated with developing and commercialising new products to support both existing and new business. You will apply sound scientific methods in all stages of development, including; planning and executing trials, analysing data and defining solutions to reach product targets at specified costs. You will be working closely with a variety of onsite departments like Sales, Operations and Quality to deliver the projects on time.
